A traditional rural Yemeni necklace of large silver Yemeni globe beads, large hanging coin pendants and lots of dangles on black string with button closure.
Rupee coins are dated 1938. Also very worn coin pendants of unknown origin and 2 ottoman coin pendants. Large silver beads measure 24-25mm hole to hole. Low silver content. A mix of coin silver and silver as often silver coins were melted down and mixed in with silver to make jewelry in traditional Yemeni silversmithing.
Love this piece. Makes noise due to dangles (a traditional indicator of wealth).
