The Rita Okrent Collection has been supplying ethnic design elements to artisans and collectors worldwide since the 1970's, with one of the first online bead shops, established in 1999. A family run business, we are known for Rita's original design necklaces and our extensive collection of ancient, antique and vintage ethnic beads, pendants, jewelry and treasures from around the world.

We have many unlisted treasures. Click on the New Listings link for the most recently added items to the site. Please send a chat or email if you are looking for something specific, and we can set up a video call if you would like to see a number of items at once. Also see our Past Treasures link for previously listed items. I am still adding items that have not yet been displayed online, or were removed for updating

Please send a message to us via the "Contact Us" tab, email (ritaokrent@gmail.com), or Chat (via website, FB, IG etc) if you need additional information or photos of items in our inventory. Remember to specific the section of the collection and item number in your request.

Our Necklaces section showcases necklaces that are currently available for sale. Our Necklace Gallery section showcases a selection of Rita’s original design necklaces that have already been sold.

Our collection of ethnographic jewelry contains silver elements and beads with varying levels of silver content. For the most part, we can estimate the silver content, but with the exception of our ear wires and clasps, most items are not sterling silver unless marked as such.

We accept all methods of credit card payment over the website, including those processed via ShopPay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay. We take credit cards and debit cards over the phone and in person, via the Square payment platform. Checks are also accepted via mail. For your own information security, please don't ever use email to send us your credit card information.

Yes! Just send us a message via chat or email and let us know how long you would like to reserve the item before you purchase it (up to 48 hours, except during Sales). We also accept temporary holds while we are answering your questions on specific items in the Collection, or while you are shopping.

Yes, whether or not you have a formal account at RitaOkrent.com, we can provide a record of your previous purchases. You may also find product details at our Past Treasures tab.

We ship for a flat rate domestically via the USPS and internationally via a shipping partner that uses a combination of the USPS and local couriers. Prices vary by destination and value of package. We can also arrange to ship your order via another method (UPS, for example). Please contact us via email or a note on your order if you have any questions regarding shipping, or to arrange shipment via FedEX or UPS. We will not use private shippers, freight forwarders or other private carriers to ship orders.

Note: if your order's shipping cost is less than we've charged you, we will credit you back for the difference via your payment method.

Yes! We can work out a layaway plan with you or you may use our website's automatic layaway option at Checkout.

For California residents who have a current California Resale number, we can set up your profile so you will not be charged California sales tax on your order. Please contact us to get this designation set up on your account.

We will send you notification of shipping status as soon as your order is processed and on its way. USPS also has excellent tracking on their website (usps.com).

In some cases, an item in the Rita Okrent Collection will have already been sold when it appears to be available at RitaOkrent.com. We apologize for this inconvenience - we are working to keep our inventory accurate. If we determine that an item you have ordered is unavailable, we will notify you immediately via email and will credit or refund your money for the unavailable item.

At the Rita Okrent Collection, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Items purchased from the Rita Okrent Collection in sale-able condition are accepted for credit, refund or exchange within 30 days of receipt or 45 days of purchase. Please notify us to let us know you will be returning your purchase via the "Contact Us" tab, email (ritaokrent@gmail.com), or Chat.

We will send emails providing notification of special website discounts and of newly posted items from the Collection.

The RitaOkrent Collection is committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your information. We will never sell, loan, rent, trade or give away your name, email or address to anyone without your written permission.
