Behind the Curtain @ the Rita Okrent Collection

Behind the Curtain @ the Rita Okrent Collection

I'm Rita and David Okrent's younger daughter, Jocelyne Okrent, and in 2008, I inherited my mom's collection, business and website. At the time, I was raising our 3 year old twins while taking a break from my career in technology.

There was a lot to learn and do. I updated our legacy website (est. 1999), photos and listings, and gained expertise on my mom's collection of treasures. Over time, I started seeking out antique and components for our customer' needs and began collecting favorites as well.

With guidance from my sister, Nina, I learned to make earrings and necklaces, and I still try to honor my mom's love of design of one of a kind necklaces by continuing to make jewelry for sale to our customers.

I'm so honored to have been given the opportunity to continue my mom's passion - curating and selling treasures -  and I'm so proud of our collection, which combines exquisite and hard to find antique treasures available since Rita started her travels and journey in the 1970's.

I am grateful to all of our beloved customers for your continued business. I love meeting you in person or long distance via messages, phone and video calls. I am inspired by your creativity, your questions and your knowledge.

Please contact me with any inventory questions or in order to shop from our yet unlisted inventory.

From one bead comes hundreds of ideas on how to use it!

Thank you for shopping at the Rita Okrent Collection!
