This exquisite amulet came to Rita's collection via Yemen, but is likely originally from the Himachal Pradesh or Uttar Pradesh states in India. It was acquired in the 1980's or 1990's but is from the 1940's or earlier.
The amulet has etchings/engravings of 5 figures, possibly in a parade and many floral and leaf designs. It has 6 holes in the bottom center circle which may have been used to attach it to something.
It measures 11.5 cm (4.6 inches) long (excluding dangles and baills) and 12.5 cm (5 inches) across and weighs approximately 134 grams.
This is a very special item.
