Moroccan Tuareg Silver Fibula with Etched Flower Decoration - Rita Okrent Collection (AA243)

A nice old silver and coin silver fibula from Rita's travels to Morocco in the 1980's.

"Fibulas are decorative, symbolic, and functional. They are usually worn in pairs, by women, as an item of adornment to affix the their veil, or cloak and indicate status. Theirdesigns have talismanic properties and symbolize magic, protection, and good luck."

This would make a lovely wall decoration for a home.

6" tall. It has a bail for hanging at the top.
