Antique Kurdish Decorated Silver Triangular Box Pendant with Hanging Coins and Carnelian Stone Setting on Chain, Anatolia - Rita Okrent Collection (NE425)

This antique necklace comes from Turkey/Asia Minor/South Eastern Anatolia border of Syria (Adana/Gaziantep/Aleppo), and would have been worn by the Kurdish people.

Chain is decorated with small metal pendants and measures 36 inches long. Pendant measures 4 inches across. 

Lovely silverwork on pendant. Very wearable and not heavy as focal pendant is hollow.

Late 19th century to early 20th century.

A very special and unusual piece in wearable and good condition.
