Blue Green Ancient Glass Excavated Medium Nila Beads, Mali, W. Africa (AT0626)
The colors of these wonderful beads emerge when treated with a tiny bit of olive oil (rub a little on your hands and then handle the beads). It brings out all their blues and greens! Note: This group of strands has lost color on some beads due to wear and age.
Strands measure approximately 26" each. Bead sizes range up to 6-8mm and from 7-9mm in diameter depending on strand.
Made along the river Niger . Excavated in Mali.
Approximately 600 years old.
