Exquisite hallmarked enameled silver hirz amulet from Morocco.
This hirz amulet was likely worn as part of a necklace, and contained verses or favorite sayings from the Koran to protect its owner from evil.
Opening loop at top for stringing. Weighs 46.2 grams.
Approximately 2.4 inches (6 cm) across and 2 inches (51mm) top to bottom.
Circa early 1900’s. Wonderful soft patina and wear.
