Antique Dutch Glass Translucent Graduated Bead Strands, Ethiopia. Circa 1800s.

Dutch and Venetian traders once used these beads to trade with the people of Ethiopia and East Africa

Provenance: Rita's old collection, originally sourced through African traders who sourced it through the East African trade.

Each strand is unique and wonderful.

Strand A: 24 inches. Beads measure 9-15mm. Mainly disk/donut shaped.

Strand B: 31 inches. Beads measure 8-14mm. Bead shape varies with many more wide rounded beads included on this strand.

Strand C: 24 inches. Beads measure 6-11mm. Mainly disk/donut shaped. The smalles beads are on this strand.
