These rare, collectible opalescent antique moon beads were traded by Dutch and Venetian traders in Ethiopia. Mixed with deep dark blue Dutch glass African Trade beads and a few other glass beads.

Research indicates that these beads may have been made in Germany and traded by the Dutch.

84 beads total, more than 60 are moon beads. 27 inches of beads. Most beads on this strand range around 9-12mm diameter with a bead hole size of 2-4mm.

Circa 1800s-early 1900s. Wear from age but few chips or unusable beads. Some beads have pockmarks.
