Large Round Antique Turkmen Yomud Silver Pendant with Inset Glass - Rita Okrent Collection (C489)

This is a gorgeous large gilded silver pendant from Turkmenistan. It is large, but light weight for its size, making it an exquisite focal pendant for an extraordinary necklace.

Circa 1930's.

There is some wear on one edge of this pendant. There is a bail on the upper back. All of the 12  jewels are in place and overall the pendant is in very nice condition.

This pendant was made to serve as a coat clasp, worn at the neck for closure. Also called a Gulyaka. 

 3.8 inches diameter. 49.7 grams.
