Large Yemeni silver Hirz prayer amulet with three top bails.
Circa early to mid-1900's.
Weighs 83 grams. Measures 3.9 inches / 10 cm lengthwise, and 36 mm top to bottom including bails.
This amulet no longer opens, but would have contained a quote or verse from the Koran. Likely to have been an element in a traditional wedding necklace or dowry.
Wonderful workmanship and excellent condition - a very special piece.
