Choice of Berber Silver Perfume Amulets, Morocco - Rita Okrent Collection (P635ef)

Amulet: E

Vintage silver / silver alloy perfume amulet from Morocco. Perfume has been an essential part of Middle Eastern/North African culture and has many uses and applications.

This type of amulet would typically hang from a Fibula and be filled with a piece of wool soaked in an interesting perfumed substance.

Lots of charm and patina. Great for use as focal pendants. Really nice etching and designs on each. Circa 1960's.

Amulet F is a little narrower than E and a little lighter.

E: 19.56 grams. Measures 2.89 inches/7.3cm tall (available)

F: 14.24 grams, Measures 2.83 inches/7.18cm tall.

Note: both have some extra patina/staining on one panel which I can't easily remove with a dry silver cloth. May be removable with different solution. Some dents on one seam at bottom on Amulet F.

Bails on top.  Bail on top of Amulet E needs to be replaced. Bail on top of Amulet F is bent but works. Both amulets have 4 loops at bottom and are ready for your favorite dangles.

Price accommodates wear.
