This extraordinary rectangular silver repousse plaque was sourced by Rita in the 1970’s or early - mid 1980’s on a visit to China or Hong Kong.
Likely to be from the Qing Dynasty Daoguang Period (1821-1850).
The silver/metal work decorations on the horse and rider show very well, as do the the decorative designs surrounding them. It is in excellent condition with no noticeable dents.
Measures 6 inches (15.3 cm) by 5 inches (13 cm) approximately.
Bails on top for hanging.
