Choice of 4 very special, authentic old Tuareg tcherot which are protective talisman, worn by the Tuareg people.
All have unique cords and personalized extra adornment added by their owners.❤
Can be worn as is or used for focal pendants in your original designs.
All are double amulets.
Tcherot typically contain small objects with amulet properties and carefully folded magical formulas as well as verses from the Koran, all designed to protect and strengthen the wearer or to ensure her fertility. A Tuareg girl receives her first Tcherot from her mother at the age of seventeen. (from the book "African Beads, Jewels of a Continent" by Evelyn Simak).
Sizes vary.
A. with striped tassles - 9.3 cm / 3.67 inches tall (measured from center).
B: with blue bead - 7.4 cm / 3.4 inches tall (measured from center).
C. with white, red and yellow striped cord - 8.8 cm / 2.9 inches tall (measured from center).
D. multicolor - 7.29 cm / 2.87 inches tall (measured from center).
Age: Old - Antique - Early to mid 20th Century. Wear commensurate with age and use.

USPS First Class Mail (now also known as Ground Advantage) is FREE for all U.S. orders of $35.00 or more, and is $4.00 for orders of less than $35.00.
USPS First Class International Shipping is now available for $7.50 for orders of less than $99.00 and is FREE for orders of $99.00 or more.
UPS , FedEx and Priority services via USPS are available for an additional fee.
For China and India, and some other regions, we only use UPS, FedEX, or USPS Priority Express Mail International, due to better tracking and reliability of delivery.

Customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance to the Rita Okrent Collection. Please ship your purchase back to us as soon as possible in order to expedite your refund.
