A round, handmade amulet pendant from Morocco, engraved and inlaid with niello. A raised central boss, pierced through its center, sits at the heart of a four-pointed star, framed by finely chased chevron fields and concentric bands. The hole was likely used to stitch or tie the piece to clothing or a headdress, and the folded, riveted bail allows it to hang as a pendant.
Provenance: Handmade in Morocco
Age: Circa 1940s
Dimensions: 2.4 cm (approx. 1 inch) wide x 3.7 cm (approx. 1.45 inches) tall, including bail
Condition: Niello in nice condition, with soft wear to the high points of the central boss and border consistent with age and use. The hole in the center of the boss is original to the piece. Bail secure.

UPS and Priority Shipping Services via USPS are available for an additional fee.
For China and India, and some other regions, we only use UPS, FedEX, or USPS Priority Express Mail International, due to better tracking and reliability of delivery.

These pieces are glowing! They are so beautiful!!! I picture women wearing them in the sun and imagine how they must have gleamed in their hair. The white ornament surely glinted with sunlight! The ornaments must have moved so gracefully in their hair and with the light striking the pieces. I imagine this was an incredible thing to see! I feel like I understand these adornments in ways I never could have, not having seen them in person before.
