An exquisitely collectible, well adorned vintage woman’s hat from the mid-20th century.
From the Hajja Governate in Yemen. Collected in the 1970's. A very similar bonnet can be found on P. 77 in the Marjorie Ransom's book, Silver Treasures from the Land of Sheba (2014). See photo in listing photos.
Decorated with 25+ old Ottoman and other coins, 7 silver prayer tubes, a mix of 28 faux amber, faux coral and vintage glass beads, 7 large silver bells, 1 headpiece, and 8 mixed silver amulets.
Measurements: Weighs 1 lb, 10 oz. / .7 kilo. 13 inches / 33 cm top to bottom (when folded), 7 inches / 17.7 cm front to back (at top for head - 14 inches / 35 cm all around).

USPS First Class Mail (now also known as Ground Advantage) is FREE for all U.S. orders of $35.00 or more, and is $4.00 for orders of less than $35.00.
USPS First Class International Shipping is now available for $7.50 for orders of less than $99.00 and is FREE for orders of $99.00 or more.
UPS , FedEx and Priority services via USPS are available for an additional fee.
For China and India, and some other regions, we only use UPS, FedEX, or USPS Priority Express Mail International, due to better tracking and reliability of delivery.
