Antique Flat Tabular Diamond-Shaped Agate Carnelian Beads from Mali - Rita Okrent Collection (S404b)

RARE FIND: only one in our inventory

A graduated strand of diamond-shaped agate and carnelian beads, found in Mali and hand cut in India, where the stone bead trade goes back thousands of years.

Why We Love This Strand

Lightweight for their size, but surprisingly sturdy — a nod to the skill behind the hand-cutting.

The diamond shape is a classic  and it makes these beads so versatile to use and wear.

Natural bands and markings give each bead character.

Provenance: Hand cut in India, found in Mali. Circa 1600s–1800s or older.
