Large traditional Bedouin crescent moon pendant with two top bails. Nice decorative silver work.

This is a traditional crescent moon Bedouin pendant, purchased from a dealer in Jerusalem's Old City souk. Sinai or Palestinian Bedouin.

The crescent moon symbols is often found in Bedouin and Middle Eastern jewelry as a religious and cultural symbol of Islam.

This is a nicely sized pendant in good condition.

Estimated circa 1960-1970s.

58 grams. 2 bails. 3 inches (7.6 cm) across at top (widest point). 3.17 inches  (7.8 cm) from top midpoint to bottom of crescent (including dangles). Missing two dangles.
