Mauritanian / Senegalese traditional wedding necklace with gold-washed granulated silver beads, and gold washed spacers.
Estimated circa 1980's or later.
These beads have fine detailed silverwork using traditional methods for granulation.
A very special piece. Could be worn as is or used for its many exquisite handmade beads.
Necklace measures 15 inches, length 28.7 grams. 9 larger graduated focal beads, 5 hanging claw/fork gilded pendants, 52 small gilded beads (5-5.5mm each) and plain gold washed spacers. Approximately 14K gold over silver.
