A short strand of 16 small orange antique carnelian and jasper stone amulets, from Mali.
Likely to have been hand carved in India and brought over in merchant trading ships by traders in the 1700's or earlier. Estimated to be as old as circa 9th - 13th century.
These lovely little pendants make wonderful accents for necklaces, earrings, bracelets and all sorts of designs. Could also be used as hair beads.
They are sturdy and delicate at the same time, each individual and beautiful with natural markings.
Sizes range but average around 16-20mm in length and 7-8mm width.
