Ancient neolithic graduated orange quartz beads, from West Africa.
These beads were found and excavated in Timbuktu, Mali. They are at least estimated to be 1000 years old and are likely to be from Neolithic settlements in West Africa.
Color of beads may be residue embedded from red soil.
Approximately 100-110 beads/strand. 25" strand not counting raffia. 8-14mm beads (diameter), majority in the 13mm - 17mm range.
Conically drilled, with 1-3 mm holes.
