Rural Moroccan Silver Painted Pendant, with Red Glass Setting and Chain, originally from a Headdress.
Circa mid 1900’s.
A wonderful piece with great patina, character and wear.
We believe the color on this old traditional large headdress decoration is painted, not enameled. Possibly the enamel wore off and an owner of this item tried to enhance it with paint instead of enamel.
This would make a fantastic focal pendant or wall decoration.
Includes 4 out of 6 matched hanging pendants and chain. Missing a top bail on one side.
Measures 3.5 inches across and 2 1/4 inches high, not including dangles. Weighs 87.6 grams.
