These are either an unusual version of Mali glass nila beads or a shorter version of long tubular Kori /Koli beads. They are smooth to the touch and most are translucent.
Found in West Africa, circa 1600 or earlier.
These unusual deep blue strands are lovely to behold and work with. Useful as jewelry supplies.
Beads measure 3-6mm diameter. Approximately 24" of beads per strand. Mix of round, shard and tube shapes.
Strands pictured are representative of available strands. Remaining strands have some mixed colors, and are a bit more pale blue in person than in the photos, but similarly translucent.
