A wonderful old box pendant on beautiful orange branch coral from Morocco.
A segment originally from an Ait Ouarzguit necklace.

(Ait Ouarzguit is a tribal group from a region in the South of Morocco which is famed for the opulence of their adornment. This opulence was due to the wealth accumulated by the saffron growing families in this area. The ladies often employed live in silversmiths to create wondrous jewels with rich enamelling and fine filligree. (From Ethnic Jewels Magazine)
