Bedouin Yemeni silver Hirz prayer amulet.
Circa early/mid-1900's.
This amulet was probably once opened and contained a quote or verse from the Koran. Likely to have been and element in a traditional wedding necklace or dowry.
Beautiful silver detailing- each side has a different design!
One end of the amulet is dented.
Sourced in Jerusalem's Old City from an old silver collection.
Measures 2 inches/ 5.2 cm in length excluding bails. Width: .7 inches / 1.88 cm.
Weighs 13.65 grams.
