Vintage coin silver and metal teardrop-shaped Hajj or protective amulet from Egypt.

Throne verse or other protective verse represented in etching in Arabic.

Discovered in the Old City in Jerusalem.

49mm tall including bail. 33.8mm wide at widest point.

Circa 1960’s or earlier. Bails on edges were soldered on at some point. 

A wonderful pendant for its simple beauty, its meaning to its owner(s) and for its patina.
