Mixed Antique and Ancient Agate and Carnelian Beads, West Africa - Rita Okrent Collection (S677)

Many neolithic disc beads on this strand of ancient and antique stone beads from the Western Sahara.

A nice assortment of useful smaller beads. Especially nice are the small well matched smooth off white hand-carved agate (?) beads and some small neolithic rock crystal beads too. Also some ancient hand-faceted carnelian beads on this strand. Bead sizes vary.

Many of these beads may have come from the ancient stone bead trade of India which goes back 5000 years.

These bead range from several hundred to thousands of years old.

31 inches of beads in all. Small beads measure in 7x5mm range. Larger disk beads are in 15mm range diameter.
