Mali Wedding Beads with Bohemian Glass Bicone Beads from the African Trade - Rita Okrent Collection (AT0750b)

Wonderful mixed strand of vintage Bohemian Wedding Trade Beads. Traditionally worn by Fulani women and used as a collectible currency for the African tribes. Traditionally presented to daughters by their mothers on their wedding day.

Bohemian wedding beads were manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s with classic blown glass methods (for pear shaped beads) and molds (for triangular beads).


Includes solid and striped globular wedding beads, white, green and black triangle wedding beads and matched German carnelian glass beads.

11 Czech glass faceted carnelian glass beads (18mm). 2 triangular beads, 1 half moon bead, 67 hanging globular beads (24mm ea approx).
