Excavated Faded Medium Nila Beads, Strand, Djenne, Mali - Rita Okrent Collection (AT0423y)

24 inch strand of mixed small to medium sized Mali nila beads.

Most are worn off white and brown on this strand. A few lovely blue and green beads mixed in.

Excavated from the sands of Mali after trading caravans got stranded. 

Circa 1600 AD or earlier.
