Lovely old enameled hirz amulet from Morocco.

This hirz amulet was likely worn as part of a headdress or necklace, and contained verses or favorite sayings from the Koran to protect its owner from evil.

Opening loop at top for stringing. Weighs 32 grams. 

Approximately 2 inches (54mm) across and 1.6 inches (42mm) top to bottom.

Very nice wear.
