An exquisite antique Yemeni coin holder or mahfaza, which would attach to the belt of a Jambiya or dagger. Fine detailed silver granulation on front and sides and top of this piece. A very special item.

Collected in the 1970's or 1980's.
Opens at top with pin on right (attached with chain). Belt attachment on back of mahfaza.
Measures 4 inches / 10 cm from end to tip of pin on other side. 8.2 cm / 3.25 inches tall. 8.9 cm / 3.5 inches wide. 1.7cm / .75 inches deep. Weighs 163 grams.
