Reserved: This gorgeous antique Tibetan Gau box has been set aside in our private collection for years and we are just making it available.

Gau boxes are traditional protective talismen worn by Tibetan people around the neck, with amuletic papers inside to address life issues, such as health, prosperity, and happiness.

Sourced in the 1980's by Rita. Missing the back, and with a small hole in the back of the prayer amulet on top.

Measures 6.1 cm / 2.4 inches from top to bottom including bail, 5 cm / 2 inches across at widest point.
