This lovely yellow, red and blue ancient glass bead from Java was handpicked by Rita in the early 1980's from a special collection.
"Jatim" is an abbreviation of Java Timor ( East Java )and was coined as a name for a particular type of bead found in East Java. These beads were manufactured in the first millenuium, between approximately 400 and 900AD.
This one has some extra wear on one end due to age and use.
Measures 16.6x 19.8 mm.
