Hand carved, chalky neutral and beautiful ancient shell beads from the Sahara / West Africa mixed with very old ostrich shell beads.
Measurements: 24 inch strand. The ostrich shell beads measure 4-5 mm diameter and the calcified shell beads range from 6-15mm hole to hole (wide range of sizes and shapes.) The large bicone focal bead measures 50 mm end to end and 28 mm at widest point.
Lightweight, but not fragile.
Would have been used for both adornment and currency.
