Silver Beaded Necklace Element from Ceylon - Sri Lanka - Rita Okrent Collection (C979)

An interlocking silver portion of an antique Sri Lankan necklace or belt, containing seven intricate interlocking beads and two end beads.  

Provenance: Sourced in the mid-1970's in Sri Lanka. Circa late 1800's to Early 1900's.

Has been sitting safely for 50 years awaiting a new home and use.
A fantastic piece for a section of a high end designed necklace.

Details: Measurements. 8 inches / 20.3 cm long. Focal bead measures 26mm diameter. Condition: Good. Some beads have small dents, one end piece has been punctured. Nicely oxidized. Approximately 90% silver content.
